2.4 GHz WiFi Directional Antenna: A WiFi directional antenna, often referred to as a beam antenna, focuses the WiFi signal into a narrow beam angle, resulting in a high gain. This signal concentration significantly enhances the transmission power, enabling very long-range coverage. The principle is straightforward: The smaller the beam angle of the WiFi directional antenna, the stronger and more focused the signal.

Directional antennas are primarily used in point-to-point connections to link two locations or in point-to-multipoint setups when covering large distances. They are an excellent choice, especially in rural areas or for building-to-building networking, as they ensure stable connections over long ranges.

Core Principle: The higher the gain of the directional antenna, measured in dBi (decibels isotropic), the greater the achievable range. At the same time, a smaller beam angle reduces signal spread and minimizes interference from other networks, significantly improving signal quality.

2.4 GHz WiFi directional antennas are ideally suited for environments where a strong and stable signal over long distances is required, such as:
