5 GHz Directional Antennas

5 GHz WiFi Directional Antennas: A WiFi directional antenna focuses the signal during operation into a narrow beam angle. This ensures that only a very small area is illuminated by the signal, but with high intensity and long range. Therefore, a directional antenna is ideal for so-called point-to-point connections (also known as WiFi bridge) over long distances.

Basic Principle: The higher the gain of the 5 GHz WiFi directional antenna, measured in dBi (decibels isotropic), the greater the range that can be achieved. At the same time, a smaller beam angle reduces signal dispersion and minimizes interference from other networks. This significantly improves transmission quality.

5 GHz WiFi directional antennas are ideal for use in environments where a strong and stable signal is required over longer distances and/or the 2.4 GHz network load is already very high, making interference-free operation only partially possible.
