You can use an appropriate lightning protection system to protect your network and your network devices from damage caused by lightning strikes. Especially when using WiFi, LTE, LoRa or 5G antennas and access points outdoors, it is advisable to use such lightning protection to prevent lasting damage.

If you use an antenna outdoors, we offer lightning protection elements with gas discharge elements. The lightning protection is used between the antenna and the antenna cable and is connected to an existing earthing rail via an earthing line.

We recommend Ethernet-based surge protection for an outdoor access point. This is switched between the outdoor access point and network switch or router and is also connected to an existing grounding rail via a grounding line.
