The LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20ac WLAN Bridge Set provides a powerful solution for wireless point-to-point connections over longer distances. This set consists of two LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20ac units, which can be delivered unconfigured, pre-configured, or pre-configured with a firmware upgrade. The devices operate on 5 GHz / 802.11ac technology and feature an integrated 20 dBi panel directional antenna. With a range of up to 15 km and a data throughput of over 500 Mbps, this set is ideal for applications that require high data volumes over greater distances.
Thanks to their robust and weatherproof design (IP66), the LigoWave LigoDLB 5-20ac units are particularly suitable for outdoor use. To achieve optimal performance, the two components should be installed in locations where they have a clear line of sight to each other. This ensures optimal signal quality and a stable connection. Additionally, the integrated iPoll technology provides efficient and reliable data transmission, even in environments with multiple wireless networks.
In comparison to the LigoWave LigoDLB 5-15ac, which is optimized for shorter distances of up to 7 km and features a 15 dBi panel directional antenna, the LigoDLB 5-20ac offers a greater range and a more powerful antenna. While the 5-15ac is specifically designed for high data volume applications over shorter distances, the 5-20ac is better suited for connections over longer stretches. Both models are powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), with the necessary PoE adapters included in the package.
Incredible performance
500+ Mbps throughput - a result of powerful hardware platform with 802.11ac technology based radio and a proprietary data transmission protocol (iPoll). Incorporating a QCA 9563 CPU (750 MHz), a QCA 9882 radio and 64 MBytes of RAM and 16 MBytes of flash memory the, LigoDLB 5-20 ac series devices are an ideal solution for capacity demanding applications. State of the art RF design with great output power and sensitivity parameters improve range and capacity over the highest modulation - 256 QAM. The 24V Gigabit Ethernet port (passive PoE) allows utilizing the full capacity of the radio when used in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint network design. LigoDLB ac series devices are backwards compatible with LigoDLB devices using iPoll mode, which helps to expand or upgrade existing networks using the latest technologies over time.
New form factor
The shape of the enclosure is now smaller, lighter but retains the IP-65 weather protection rating. Smaller packaging reduces freight costs and makes them less obvious. The new design has no metal parts, which makes them lighter and corrosion resistant.
New mounting system
The adjustable mounting bracket is very easy to assemble and install. It consists of two easy to connect parts that allow tilting the device up and down when installing on a pole. A metal strap is included to securely tighten the device. This design includes additional reinforcements and thicker materials to ensure survival in extreme climate conditions.
Powerful OS
The LigoDLB OS is a highly functional and easy to use operating system embedded in all LigoDLB hardware devices for effortless setup and trouble free operation. High performance (500 Mbps) allows offering more bandwidth together with additional services such as VoIP and IPTV. This is possible when using LigoWave’s smart QoS mechanism and multicast traffic enhancements for triple play services. Such services are essential for all next generation service providers to complement their existing portfolios. iPoll, LigoWave’s proprietary transmission protocol, ensures smooth performance with a high number of clients even in noisy environments
Integrated surge protection
3 kV line to ground and 1 kV line-to-line protection allows operating in a harsh weather conditions and unstable electrical installations.
Operating system
New operating system includes all the essential features for point-to-multipoint networks. User interface is built using HTML 5 technology with responsive design. Among the new features there are IPv6 bridge and router support, SSDP and Bonjour device discovery options, flexible traffic shaping and SSTP client.
iPoll 3 – enhanced performance protocol
LigoWave’s iPoll PTMP (Point to Multi-Point) proprietary protocol is an innovative solution to eliminate transmission congestion and close cluster interference created in PTMP wireless installations.
Highlights:- 500+ Mbps capacity
- High power (30 dBm) radio
- Proprietary protocol (iPoll)
- Zero loss design
- Integrated directional 20 dBi panel antenna
- Integrated surge protection
- Lightweight design
- Innovative mounting bracket
- Weather proof (IP-65 rated) design
- Free WNMS (WNMS – Wireless Network Management System)
- Responsive HTML 5 based GUI
Usage recommendation:- PTP mode (two LigoDLB 5-20ac devices): 15 km / 9.32 mi
- PTMP mode (DLB LigoDLB 5-20ac as a client device): 10 km / 6.21 mi
Maximum throughput: 500 MbpsHotspot scenario support
Starting from v7.52 Infinity firmware image can be used on a LigoDLB series devices for the outdoor hotspot and other related applications. After the firmware upgrade DLB devices are converted into access points for outdoor hotspot networks and will lose the functionality of point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connectivity.
WNMS
WNMS is a FREE enterprise grade Wireless Network Management System. A single software solution simplifies a large number of management and monitoring tasks for network administrators. LigoWave's comprehensive network management system supports several thousands of nodes. Multiple networks may be maintained and monitored using one server. A rich feature set helps to diagnose network problems effectively, visualize networks on a map, perform scheduled firmware upgrades automatically, track states of devices, get failure alerts, and collect statistics. The Web-based system environment supports multi-user accounts. Several administrators may manage different networks on the same server, without having access to each other’s equipment. WNMS is available as a stand-alone version for Linux and Windows servers, as a cloud-based system and as a mobile application for Android devices.
