The PUCK-7 antenna from Poynting is a low-profile antenna for use in IoT/M2M, smart meters, smart utilities, transportation, maritime, and agricultural/farming environments. The PUCK-7 consists of a 4-in-1 antenna system in a single housing and features 2X2 MIMO 4G / 5G as well as 2X2 MIMO WiFi (dual-band 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) antenna elements.
The antenna offers two separate dual-band WiFi antennas that cover both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously and support 802.11n and 802.11ac/ax with 2x2 MIMO. The 2x2 MIMO 2G/3G/4G/5G antennas cover the frequency range from 698 MHz to 3800 MHz, including the most common international 4G and 5G bands.
The PUCK outperforms many competitors because this high-performance antenna is designed with care. The radiation patterns of all radiating elements provide an excellent balance between omnidirectionality, pattern diversity, and good radiation characteristics at the desired height, which is often overlooked in such a small antenna.
Despite its small size, this antenna offers excellent performance, especially in the higher frequency bands, where performance is crucial for 4G throughput and connection stability.
