Forget the 100-Meter Rule: Extend PoE over Fiber Optic Cabling
The biggest enemy when installing Network devices outdoors is distance. Conventional Ethernet Cables reach their physical limit at 100 meters. The FiberPoE Gen2 elegantly solves this problem: it converts the Network signal into light and sends it over fiber optics. This way, you can install PoE-enabled devices like IP Cameras or WiFi Access Points even hundreds of meters or kilometers away, without signal loss or additional WiFi Repeaters.
Built for Eternity: Maximum Interference Immunity Outdoors
Installations on masts, industrial facilities, or simply over long distances outdoors are susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electrostatic discharges (ESD), e.g., from nearby Lightning Protection. Since fiber optics consist of glass or plastic and do not conduct electrical signals, the FiberPoE Gen2 offers perfect galvanic isolation. The result: an absolutely interference-proof and reliable data connection, even in the harshest environments. The robust, weatherproof housing reliably protects the technology from wind and weather.
Flexible Power Supply for Every Scenario
The F-POE-G2 not only separates data and interference but also gives you full flexibility in Power Supply. You can power it either via a classic 2-wire terminal block with 24V or 50V DC or realize the Power Supply directly via an Ethernet Cable. For this, simply use the DC-In-RJ45 port in combination with suitable PoE Injectors / Power Supplies. At the other end, the converter then reliably outputs passive PoE to your end device – all cleanly separated and designed for maximum stability.
The Fiber Bridge: Two Devices for the Perfect Connection
You have two main scenarios: If you already own an Ethernet Switch with a free SFP slot, you only need one FiberPoE Gen2 at the remote end. However, if you want to 'bridge' an existing copper-to-copper connection over a long, interference-prone distance, simply use two F-POE-G2 devices – one at each end of the fiber optic link. All you need additionally are suitable 1 Gbps SFP / SFP\+ Modules. Make sure you choose the correct SFP / SFP\+ Modules – the port is designed for 1 Gbps SFP; 10 Gbps SFP+ Modules are not compatible.
Strengths & Notes at a Glance

Why should I use the FiberPoE G2 instead of a simple PoE extender?
The FiberPoE G2 utilizes fiber optic for virtually unlimited distances and provides complete immunity to electrical interference (EMI/ESD), making it superior for outdoor areas and long distances, whereas a PoE extender remains limited to 100-meter copper segments and is susceptible to interference. This is ideal for robust
