The Ubiquiti UAP-AC-Mesh is a powerful outdoor access point designed to extend Wi-Fi networks in open-air environments. Integrated into the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem, the access point can be seamlessly incorporated into existing networks and centrally managed via the UniFi Controller software. This makes the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-Mesh a flexible and scalable solution for modern outdoor Wi-Fi installations.
UAP-AC-M includes PoE functionality. You can power your UniFi devices with a UniFi Switch (sold separately). Available in 8-, 16-, 24- and 48-port versions with multiple power output options, the UniFi-Switch conveniently offers auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af PoE / 802.3at PoE+ and configurable 24V passive PoE. Each single-pack includes a PoE adapter.
Hardware Overview

The UniFi AC Mesh AP can be mounted on a wall, pole, or fast-mount of a Ubiquiti high-gain antenna. (All accessories are included.)
The UAP-AC-Mesh AP is compatible with 802.3af PoE Alternative A and 24V passive PoE. You can power it with an 802.3af Alternative A compatible switch, EdgePoint EP-R6, UniFi PoE Switch, or the included Gigabit PoE adapter.
Use the included omni antennas, or use the included fast-mount adapter to install the AP on an optional connectorized antenna for expanded range coverage and customized pattern shaping.

The UniFi AC Mesh AP is versatile; you can use any 5 GHz sector antenna (wide beam in the azimuth plane and narrow in the elevation plane) for broad outdoor coverage.

The UniFi AC Mesh Pro AP is ideal for applications requiring 3x3 MIMO data rates for close-in omni coverage.

The UniFi Controller
The UniFi Controller is the central administration interface of a UniFi WiFI network. The complete administration takes place via the controller. Thus, individual information such as SSID, encryption, IP address etc. need not be stored individually on each UniFi access point, but are globally defined in the UniFi Controller. The UniFi Controller then takes on the configuration of the connected UniFi APs. So you can use the UniFi Controller to configure and control your WiFi network, to add, remove, analyze, restart and also to add a new firmware version to individual UniFi UAPs. The configuration interface is kept clear and easy to use.
The UniFi Controller offers a wide range of additional functions. A short overview:
