This WiFi set is particularly suitable for use on highly mobile objects, such as a boat or a motorhome with frequent changes in location. The omnidirectional antenna covers a large area and does not need to be realigned at every location. Signal disruptions, such as due to waves, are unlikely since the antenna captures the signal comprehensively. Even during short stays and pit stops, establishing an uncomplicated internet connection without realigning the antenna is possible, provided, of course, that the next WiFi access point is not more than a few kilometers away. If there is poor reception at a location, the WiFi set can compensate for it with its long range, ensuring a secure and stable internet connection in the caravan, at the campsite, or in the harbor. Disturbances from other vehicles can be avoided by installing the WiFi set or the omnidirectional antenna on top of the vehicle, minimizing interference from obstacles.

The robust constitution and construction of the individual components of the TravelConnector system make it particularly suitable for outdoor use, even in challenging weather conditions. It includes a 2.4 GHz WiFi USB or WiFi adapter with LAN port and a 2.4 GHz omnidirectional antenna with 5, 8dBi, or 12dBi gain, which should be attached externally to the vehicle for optimal reception (especially caravans and motorhomes, but also yachts, have a strongly shielding effect due to their construction). The connection to the mobile device is established using a USB or LAN cable. For added flexibility, the USB cable length can be extended to up to 60 meters by daisy-chaining up to five cables.
